Authorities find identification and remains of at least five during Cancun property search

Cancun, Q.R. — Local authorities have found the remains of at least five people inside a private home in Cancun. The remains were found Wednesday during a property search in SM 95.

During their search, authorities also found identification. The pieces of identification found were of a Fanny Lucía “N”, Gabriela de Jesús “N”, Isaac Antonio “N” and Eulices “N”.

Police were at the home Wednesday morning as part of an investigation related to the search for missing persons. The search operation took place at a residence on 108th Street and involved agents from the Investigative Police and personnel specializing in missing persons searches.

Authorities began their search during the early hours and stayed on scene for several hours.

During the search, five human skulls were located along with other skeletal remains. The remains were found distributed throughout various areas of the property along with identification that included Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) health credentials, bank cards and one passport.

Police seized other items including notebooks and several cell phones, items that will be added to the investigation to determine their possible relationship with the remains found at the scene.
