Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — A two vehicle front end slam left highway traffic snarled in Puerto Morelos Friday afternoon. Transit, National Guard and emergency services were part of the responding team to reports of the collision between two vans.
A tourist transport van and a private work van collided near Bahía Petempich resulting in significant damage to both vehicles. Debris was scattered along the federal highway and several reported injured.
National Guard Highways were in charge of the scene which included flagging curious rubberneckers past the crash site to keep traffic flowing. It is not known how the accident happened or who was responsible.
