Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Ten people were left injured after a hotel transport van and private car collided. The impact from their collision landed the van on its side. The accident happened Wednesday evening along the federal highway north of Puerto Morelos.
Preliminary reports say the hotel van was hit by the car when attempting to join the highway. The high-speed collision was enough to push the van over, landing it on its driver side. The compact car was completely destroyed.
Witnesses to the accident stopped to help free passengers from the van by pulling them though the windows. Police, firemen and ambulances responded to the accident. Of the 10 injured, five were transferred to the Galenia hospital in Cancun.
