Jose Marie Morelos, Q.R. — A woman who was trapped inside her rolled car was rescued Monday from a highway ditch. The woman was found by chance by a man walking the highway when he heard her cry for help.
Looking down an embankment he saw a red car on its roof. Inside was a woman who was trapped after rolling her vehicle hours earlier.
Emergency responders were quick to arrive at the site of the single vehicle accident where they found the woman still behind the wheel.
The 43 year old driver said she was heading home to Mahahual the night before when her car left the highway and rolled down the embankment.

Firemen and police from the town of Jose Marie Morelos were first on scene at the site of the accident that happened approximately four kilometers from the town.
Driver Alejandra Gabriela “M” was freed from her car by firemen and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to reports, she was traveling the highway alone when, around midnight, she rolled her car down the embankment. Her rolled vehicle was not visible from the highway.
She was rescued Monday morning. The reason for the accident is unclear.
