Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Three men wanted in the fatal shooting of a Playa del Carmen woman have been returned to the city. On Tuesday, the State Attorney General’s Office reported on the arrests of Martín “P”, José “R” and Pedro “H”.
The three men were arrested a few days ago in the state of Veracruz on unrelated matters. A review of their identification in Platform Mexico alerted Veracruz police of their outstanding arrest warrants in the state of Quintana Roo.
According to FGE head Óscar Montes de Oca, all three have been returned to the state
where they are being held “for their probable participation in the crime of qualified homicide to the detriment of a foreign woman.”
Montes de Oca said that according to their investigation, the shooting that left an Italian resident dead “was a direct attack” on the victim, “a planned act,” adding after the shooting, they fled to Veracruz.
