Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A taxi driver from the Lázaro Cárdenas del Río union was shot and killed early Friday morning by two men who escaped on a motorcycle.
The shooting happened inside a convenience store in the area of Cristo Rey in Playa del Carmen. The on-duty taxi driver was shopping inside the store when the pair arrived, entered and shot him. He died on scene inside the store.
Municipal and State Police agents arrived to secure the area for investigators. It has only been a few days since the last taxi driver was shot and killed in Playa del Carmen.
