José María Morelos – Erick Borges Yam, the mayor of José María Morelos, announced more city hall changes. He says changes have already been made in four departments as part of an administrative reorganization process.
The process was implemented at the beginning of 2026 and include new appointments in auditing with Amílcar Gómez Martín. He was appointed as the new head of the department, replacing Carlos Lozano.
For the municipal Civil Protection, Luis Carrillo assumes the directorship, replacing Asunción Núñez Medrano and in general services, Jesús Martín Escamilla takes over this department, replacing Felipe Sierra.
José María Morelos also has a new ecology head, Cinthia Narzeli Negroe May was appointed director replacing Claudia Otilia Vela Sosa.

Mayor Erick Borges Yam said that these adjustments were made “to strengthen strategic areas of the municipal government and improve the operational performance of each department.”
He says that in coming days, he will be announcing more changes in other municipal departments.
“On Friday, I will be announcing three or four more changes in key departments,” he said.
With these, a total of seven people have been shifted in municipal positions during his term. In July of last year, Agustín Castro Trejo was appointed Chief Administrative Officer, replacing José Rubén Flota Güemes and Wendy Graciela López Manzanilla, as Director of the Smart Market, succeeding Sergio Miguel Ruiz Andrade.
