José María Morelos, Q.R. — A woman was hospitalized after being involved in an accident that threw her from her motorcycle. On Saturday evening, the female passenger of the motorcycle was hit by a black truck attempting to make an illegal U-turn.
Police were sent to the 7:00 p.m. accident scene where they found the injured woman laying on Gonzalo Guerrero Avenue. She was transferred to hospital for further treatment. The male driver of the motorcycle was not seriously injured.
Witnesses reported seeing the driver of the pickup make the sudden turn, clipping the bike and knocking the man and woman from the motorcycle.
Transit Directorate cordoned off the area while both vehicles were towed to a corral.
