José María Morelos, Q.R. — A compact car ended up stuck in an area of Mayan jungle due to its dozing driver. The male driver was traveling the federal 184 of José María Morelos early in the morning when he began to drift off at the wheel.
Motorists from Santa Gertrudis reported the car to police after seeing the banged up car stuck in the vegetation outside the town.
Authorities arrived to the 10:30 a.m. reports of the accident to find a local vehicle wedged deeply in thick jungle trees. Police also noted the highway road sign the driver mowed down in the process.
Paramedic treated the driver at the scene before transferring him to the Comprehensive Hospital of José María Morelos.
