José María Morelos, Q.R. — Crop roads are being rehabilitated for farmers in José María Morelos. The roads are being made more accessible for use during harvests by local farmers.
The City Council of José María Morelos says they are rehabilitating more roads to harvest crops in the communities of Cafetal Grande and San Felipe II. The City Council says work will also begin shortly in the crop fields of Puerto Arturo.
On Friday, authorities led a tour of the towns to supervise the progress of the roads, where in the first instance in San Felipe II, they are finished, however, additional area farmers have requested an extension to other plots.
Local farmers using the roads say they will have greater security and speed to transport their products from the field to market.
In Cafetal, Mayor Erik Borges supervised the start of another road project to remove sascab so that next week, he says the material will begin to be dumped in several sections already agreed upon by the producers.
Meanwhile, preparations are already being made to also begin road projects in the community of Puerto Arturo where farmers have requested the rehabilitation of the roads to their plots.
