Tulum, Q.R. — Tulum city officials proceeded to shut another establishment after they were found in violation of current covid health regulations. Inspectors from Cofepris and Sefiplan found Conestesia to be over capacity for the current orange epidemiological light.
Police assisted inspectors in shutting the premises. Tulum City Council says that while the state is orange, businesses are urged to respect the 30 percent maximum occupancy rate. They also say that these types of inspections will continue until the state reaches a green epidemiological light.
Last week, authorities reported shutting more than 50 businesses between Playa del Carmen and Tulum for non-compliance of covid health regulations. Due to the continued increase in covid infections, the entire state has been rolled back to an orange epidemiological light, down from the yellow light the state had been in for several months.
