Cozumel, Q.R. — A woman was rushed to Cozumel hospital Thursday with a severe leg injury after crashing her scooter into a bus. The two vehicles collided at an intersection in the Cozumel Hotel Zone Thursday afternoon.
The woman suffered a severe leg injury from the crash.
Motorists who witnessed the collision called for help after realizing the severity of the accident. Police and paramedics were at the scene around 1:45 p.m. where they found a woman laying on the street.
The accident occurred near the entrance to Chulá’s Beach Club at kilometer 14.5 of the highway.
She was found laying on the road several meters from her scooter. Her left leg had been almost completely severed at the knee. The actual cause of the accident remains unclear.
