Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — A woman has died after being hit by a truck along the federal highway outside Puerto Aventuras.
The accident happened Tuesday when a female worker from the Hard Rock Hotel was attempting to cross the highway. The woman, who has been identified as Marisela G.C., was hit by an oncoming truck while trying to cross to the other side.
She was taken by private ambulance to hospital, but died shortly after being admitted.
Federal police arrived at the accident scene and arrested the driver of the truck.
