Warehouse fire at Hard Rock Cancun controlled after four hours

Cancun, Q.R. — A warehouse fire at the Hard Rock Hotel in Cancun kept firefighters busy for more than four hours early Sunday.

The fire, which happened Sunday morning, was found in their hotel warehouse in the Cancun Hotel Zone around 5:00 a.m. Cancun firemen were sent to the hotel to battle smoke and flames, which took more than four hours to contain.

Police kept the area closed off while firemen worked at containing the fire. An apparent short circuit in the electrical system was said to be the cause.

Although paramedics were called to the scene, there were no reported injuries
