Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A man driving along the Playa del Carmen highway managed to dump his vehicle over the steep edge and into a grassy ravine.
The accident happened around 7:00 a.m. when the vehicle left the road and landed right-side-up, but not before crashing through an abundance of wire fencing.
The man, who was not injured in the mishap, was the one who called for help.
The crash took place a short distance from the Barceló Maya Palace hotel between Paamul and Akumal. There was no official word on the cause of the accident.
