Two caught in failed attempt to extort floor right payments from Playa del Carmen beach club

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Playa del Carmen police were quick to arrest two men for allegedly demanding floor right money from a downtown business.

The pair were caught attempting to extort a central Playa del Carmen beach club on 26th Street by claiming to be armed, then demanding large sums of cash in exchange for floor rights.

Police arrived in time to arrest the two who have been identified as 22-year-old Armando B.P. from Campeche and 29-year-old Raúl S.A. The two were positively identified by the businessman who filed an official complaint, ensuring they will be held and presented before a judge.
