Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Policía Municipal Preventiva de Solidaridad report having detained two men alleged responsible for the firearm attack against two men in Playa del Carmen.
The attack, which occurred in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood earlier this week, left one injured and one dead after witnesses said two men shot them and fled. In a press release, police say that information from witnesses led them to the two who have since been detained.
Photos of both have been released by the Dirección de Seguridad Pública who explained that the pair were arrested shortly after the shooting during an extensive search. They were discovered fleeing on a motorcycle on Avenue CTM from witness descriptions.
In the attack, one man Rudi Armando N, was found wounded inside a private home, while the second identified as 30-year-old Rigoberto N, was found deceased outside the home.
The two arrested have been presented to the Fiscalía General del Estado for legal proceedings.
