Cozumel, Q.R. — Three people who police say stormed a man’s home and then shot him have been charged with murder. Josías “N”, Francisco Javier “N” and Joana Nohemí “N” were charged Thursday for the home robbery and subsequent shooting of the man inside.
Police say the group robbed a home located in the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood July 1. Before leaving, they physically assaulted the occupant then shot him in the head.
“On July 1 of this year, while the victim was in the house in the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood, the suspects entered the house carrying revolvers, hitting the victim with the butt in the head and, after allegedly searching for money and merchandise before leaving, they fired a firearm that caused injuries to the victim’s head, who was later declared dead,” police reported in a statement.
Josías “N”, Francisco Javier “N” and Joana Nohemí “N” have officially been charged with aggravated homicide. All three have been ordered to remain in custody for the duration of their legal process.
