Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A trio of youths were searched for and arrested in central Playa del Carmen Thursday afternoon after allegedly robbing tourists.
Police found the three young men in the colony of Nicté Ha after tourists reported having their belongings stolen while on a central beach. They say the men took advantage of their oversight, robbing them of their belongings. Witnessing the robbery, the tourists called police.
Municipal Police went on a search and found the three walking in nearby Nicté Ha carrying the items that were reported as stolen. They were also identified by the tourists. They were arrested.
