Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — Three of the Barcos Caribe units previously owned by former Qunitana Roo governor, Roberto Borge Angulo, are for sale at an Isla Mujeres dock.
The three boats that once ran the Playa del Carmen-Cozumel ferry route have been reclaimed by their financing company and are now up for sale. The boats, which were once owned by the family of former governor Roberto Borge Angulo, have been reclaimed by the company Unifin Financiera who has put them up for sale to the highest bidder.
Two of the catamaran-style boats are moored at a dock at Isla Mujeres, on display and for sale. The third boat, which was involved in an explosion in Playa del Carmen in February of 2018, remains moored in Puerto Morelos and is also up for sale.
The boats will remain at the docks for a maximum of two weeks at the request of Unifin in hopes of finding a buyer.
