Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — Police have detained two male suspects in the January 2023 murder of a Tulum man. The two men were taken into police custody Wednesday for the murder of an unnamed male victim.
Sergio Raúl “N” and Dani Alexander “N” were picked up on outstanding arrest warrants issued by a Chetumal judge. According to a State Attorney General (FGE) statement, both men were wanted “for their probable participation in the commission of acts possibly constituting the crime of qualified homicide to the detriment of a male victim of withheld identity.”
The FGE reported that “at the end of January 2023, both detainees intercepted the victim in an establishment in the municipality of Tulum and after taking him to a vehicle, they drove him on a dirt road to the town of Muyil, in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto.
“Subsequently, one of them possibly fired a firearm causing injuries that took his life, while another apparently recorded what happened.”
