Cozumel, Q.R. — Authorities have reported on charges being laid against the main suspect in a Cozumel murder. The Public Prosecutor’s Office says based on an October 28 report, Guillermo “N” has been charged with aggravated homicide.
“Based on a report received on October 28 of this year, a male victim was on board a vehicle in the company of his partner when the accused Guillermo “N” arrived at the place, who approached the driver’s window and allegedly fired a firearm against the victim, causing injuries to his head that caused his death,” police reported in a statement Tuesday.
The Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Homicide requested and obtained an arrest warrant against Guillermo “N” which was executed by members of the Investigative Police.
After the case was brought before the court, the accused was formally charged for his alleged involvement in the aggravated homicide of a Cozumel man. He was ordered held in pretrial detention.
