Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A six-year-old girl has died after being involved in a moto accident with her parents on a Playa del Carmen roadway.
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on a roadway at Pavo Real with Colosio when the moto and a tour van collided. Both parents aboard the moto were injured and rushed to hospital.
The mother is reported to be in critical condition, while the father is reported stable. The young girl, however, died on scene.
Reports say the family were on their way to the neighboring state of Yucatan aboard their moto when the accident occurred.
The driver of the van reportedly fled.
