Six crew onboard failed boat rescued off Mahahual

Mahahual, Q.R. –The Navy of Mexico has reported the rescue of a boat with six passengers off the coast of Mahahual.

The boat was reportedly adrift for several hours after their engine failed. Navy officers received a request for support from the Capitanía de Puerto who explained that a smaller vessel named Blue Wahoo, which participated in the Governor Cup Sport Fishing tournament, had engine trouble and was stranded off the coast.

A Mexican navy ship set sail and found the fishing boat approximately 13 kilometers northwest off the coast of Mahahual.

Blue Wahoo was towed to dock while all six crew members were brought to shore reportedly in good health.
