Six bodies located after Tulum authorities arrest criminal gang members

Tulum, Q.R. — After the recent arrest of criminal gang members, police in Tulum were lead to an area of bodies. On Friday, Tulum authorities located the bodies of six people in the municipality, four of whom are reported to have been kidnap victims the week before. The other two bodies could be those of a couple reported missing since mid-July.

The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) made the finding Friday after arresting a group of alleged criminal gang members. Of the bodies found, five are men and one is a woman.

The four men found, who are between the ages of 30 and 40, are believed to be the four reported kidnapped from the same area of Tulum from July 13 to August 5 of this year. All four went missing on different dates between July and August from a hotel in the coastal area of Tulum.

The bodies of the man and woman found could be the bodies of Elena N and Ricardo N, both of whom were last seen July 13 in Tulum. Authorities continue to investigate, working on positively identifying the six murdered bodies found.
