Quintana Roo Santa police deliver treats and toys to underprivileged kids

Chetumal, Q.R. — Police around Quintana Roo delivered gifts to underprivileged children over the weekend. Officers arrived in decorated police trucks to areas where kids waited for the early arrival of Santa.

The collection and subsequent delivery of Christmas treats and toys was made as part of efforts to strengthen social peace and citizen trust, the SSC (Secretary of Citizen Security) of Quintana Roo reported.

“In the spirit of the Christmas celebrations, members of the Operational Group of the Quintana Roo State Secretariat of Citizen Security, assigned to the Othón P. Blanco base, carried out a heartwarming collection drive.

“Thanks to this initiative, sweets and gifts were distributed to children in various neighborhoods of Chetumal, bringing smiles, hope, and moments of joy during this special time of year because building a better future also begins with small but significant gestures.”

Over the weekend, the magic of Christmas also reached Cozumel neighborhoods.

“In coordination with personnel from the GEAVIG unit of the municipality of Cozumel, we toured the San Gervasio, Emiliano Zapata, and 10 de Abril neighborhoods, bringing smiles, sweets and gifts to children.

“These actions strengthen community spirit, joy, and the holiday season in our neighborhoods. We continue working closely with the people, sowing smiles!”
