Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Puerto Morelos Mayor Blanca Merari Tziu Muñoz says the municipality will have a 90 percent occupancy rate for Easter. Tziu Muñoz says according to hotel and vacation rental reservations, Puerto Morelos is projected to reach 90 percent occupancy during Semana Santa.

“We’ve maintained a 75 percent occupancy rate and are ready to welcome visitors, hoping to reach 90 percent occupancy and showcase our attractions as the Best Adventure Destination, a distinction we’ve earned from winning the World Travel Awards six years in a row,” she said.

Blanca Merari Tziu mentioned that Ruta de los Cenotes, local cuisine, sandy beaches and various activities are part of the great experiences that drive the growth of Puerto Morelos as a world-class tourism development, with high-end lodging options.

“In Puerto Morelos, leisure and family tourism continues to predominate, however, the number of vacationers seeking to immerse themselves in nature and the great Mayan culture is becoming more diverse every day. They now have access to the Maya Train, which offers tours to the state’s various destinations,” she noted.
