Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — The passenger of a car involved in a highway accident in Felipe Carrillo Puerto was killed Saturday. Emergency personnel rushed to the scene of the two vehicle crash along the federal highway just north of the town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto.
There, they located a private car that had collided with a large company cargo truck. The car was traveling the highway Saturday when, according to information obtained, the driver dozed off, crashing into the back of the parked truck.
The truck was pulled off onto the shoulder when the car made contact. The passenger side of the private vehicle was sheared off as it continued into the back side of the parked unit.
Passing motorists reported the accident. Medical personnel pronounced the passenger, Carlos “A”, as dead on scene. The driver, Guillermo “B”, was transferred to hospital with undisclosed injuries.
