Cozumel, Q. R. — A home located in the military housing area in the northern portion of the island required attention from firefighters after a bedroom caught fire.
The fire was reported to Emergency 911 shortly after 4:00 a.m. with a request for help in the SEDENA housing area. Firemen responded to the call and were successful in extinguishing flames, which originated from a bedroom.
Everything inside the room was consumed by fire, however, no injuries were reported. The director of Protección Civil Héctor Mac Marín noted officials have yet to determine the official cause of the blaze.
