Playa del Carmen., Q.R. — A young man has died after being hit by a vehicle on the highway at the south end of Playa del Carmen.
The accident happened around midnight when 25-year-old Eneraldo P.L. was hit by a vehicle along the Playa del Carmen-Tulum highway at the southern exit of the city.
The driver of the vehicle, 29-year-old José Ramón P.P., is a resident of Puerto Aventuras.
Paramedics arrived only to pronounce the man as deceased. Municipal Police proceeded to arrest the driver for presentation to the State Attorney General.
The vehicle involved had front end damage and was towed. The victim was originally from Chiapas.
