Cozumel, Q.R. — Island police officers posted at a Cozumel security filter arrested a man after they found him transporting approximately 40 kilos of marijuana. The search and arrest of the man was in coordination with the National Guard, who detained a subject carrying three packages of marijuana weighing approximately 40 kilograms.
The arrest happened around 9:35 a.m. Tuesday, when 50-year-old Mexican national Robert N was taken into custody for transporting drugs. His arrest was made after a narcotics dog marked his red Aveo positive for drugs. During the inspection, police found three boxes of marijuana in the car’s trunk.
