To the Editor,
I just finished reading your article about Tulum and the legalization of golf cart use. What I find ironic, is once again, the taxis are against this. Maybe if they stopped gouging people on the fares, they would do better as more people might/would be willing to use them. Many people here recommend to not use them.
With all the growth, or should I say overgrowth, in the area, when will they start on igrades that are needed instead of focusing in on ways to “get more tourism”.
The area as a whole needs to be cleaned up. Trash everywhere, it smells bad, is unsightly and harbors all sorts of badness. Sidewalks with that are not in good walking shape-or all that usable with trees in the middle.
And the roads everywhere are in horrid shape. They need to be properly repaired/repaved and not just “toss some asphalt in that hole. This is a waste of time and monies. Please. do the job properly.
It would be nice if the authorities were to see this. Maybe a section for their response’s
