My husband and I have lived in Tulum from 8+ years. We moved here because we fell in love with Tulum and the beautiful beach. We can’t afford to go to the Beach Clubs and pay the high prices for food and beverage.
We have beach chairs and umbrellas and a small ice chest we pack in and spend the day on the PUBLIC beach.
I understand the not bringing alcohol in and paying for parking. But to take away everyone’s right to have free access is wrong.
We tried to go in with our card that they issued to the residents and we were told we had to have a reservation at one of the restaurants to go in or pay the full price. Even on Google maps there is a Playa Maya Playa Publica. We are being denied access to that.
Thank you for your time and hopefully this gets resolved.
