Dear editor,
I am writing to reach out the people in charge here in Quintana Roo: dear governors and leaders of Cancún, please repair the existing crossing traffic lights so pedestrians can cross the dangerous hotel zone streets safely.
It’s insanely hazardous to life and limb that people, both locals and visitors, have to race across a busy road of on-coming traffic to get to the other side.
I can only think of one set that does work, at La Isla Mall.
Off the top of my head, here are a few spots with non-functioning crossing lights that require pedestrians to run like hell across a busy road:

- the Royal Cancun Resort
- Parroquia de Cristo Catholic church
- Kukuklan Mall
- Royal Sands Resort
Here’s a photo of non working crossing lights near catholic church by the Starbucks.
The crossing lights exist. Please, for the sake of human life, fix them. That’s it.
In a world of seemingly insurmountable situations, all you have to do to make life easier is call an electrician.
Thank you,
