My family and I have been renting a house on Isla Mujeres for many years now. We rent different houses each year and this year rented a beautiful house near the airport strip.
Little did we realize that the power generator makes such a monstrous noise when on. It’s a nightmare which we have been (are) encountered for the last 7 hours and counting! Our children cannot sleep and our baby continues crying.
Why the government and/or the electric company put such a hideous installation where it is shows that they do not care about the tourists who come to Isla Mujeres.
Between the noise and the fumes—we can even smell the diesel fuel—we are leaving this island paradise first thing in the morning and never coming back.
