Dear Editor,
While a large focus of tourist is the ever disgustingly outrageous fee’s and behavior of those on the transportation business- especially taxi’s, there are other little things that annoy as well.
Now this would be just an annoyance to residents. As Cancun Airport has tried to lower entry times into the country, they have done something just stupid. For a couple years as resident’s, we were able to arrive back in Mexico and enter the Mexican line at immigration. Few if any people were ever in that line. It lets us travel quickly and efficiently thru the airport to get back home.
Approximately 2-3 months ago, they said we as residents can no longer enter thru that line. I recently went back to the states for the Thanksgiving holiday. Upon arrival I was forced into the foreign tourist line, 40 minutes later I was thru immigration.
During this time, I saw NO ONE enter the Mexican line. Seriously? Q.Roo has already taken away our ability to get INAPM, and now this little inconvenience. It does make make for a welcoming feeling at all. We pay tax and contribute to the economy without any benefits.
That was a nice gesture to make us feel welcome back home. It costs nothing and makes absolutely no sense. What gives Mexico? You can do better.
