Judge finds three in Playa del Carmen shooting linked to crime

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Three men arrested for their alleged involvement in a recent restaurant shooting have been found linked to the crime.

La Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE) reported that a judge has found sufficient evidence that all three were related to and/or involved in the shooting that occurred May 13 at Cervecería Chapultepec in the Ejidal zone of Playa del Carmen.

The Office of the Attorney General of Quintana Roo says that a judge has ordered the preventive detention of all three as a precautionary measure, noting that Victor N, Emir N and David N will be held for their probable participation in the commission of the crime of qualified homicide and injuries to the detriment of the victims of Cervecería Chapultepec.

In the armed attack 11 people were injured and one was killed. El Ministerio Público has been given three months to close their investigation.
