Government of Quintana Roo donates hearing aid to young boy

Cancun, Q.R. — The Government of Quintana Roo has donated a hearing aid to an 11 year old boy. The hearing device was donated to Roger Jacobo Dzul Chin who is diagnosed with Down Syndrome and severe to profound bilateral hearing loss.

Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa and the honorary president of the Quintana Roo DIF System, Verónica Lezama Espinosa, gave him the hearing aid Friday.

The hearing aid is resistant to moisture, sweat and dust and has an alarm when the battery is low. It is also compatible with a cell phone application.

Governor Lezama says inclusion is a priority, and with the New Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo, no one is left out or behind as in the case of Roger Jacobo, who from today has a better quality of life.
