Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — The Government of Quintana Roo is planning a 14.7 million peso road project in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto. The money is earmarked for the Mayan town of Tihosuco for road improvements for local farmers.
In a continuous effort to promote prosperity in the Mayan area and improve the roads in the community of Tihosuco, Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa has allocated an investment of 14,750,325 pesos.
The head of the Ministry of Public Works (SEOP), Irazú Sarabia May, explained that in the community of Tihosuco, work is being carried out to improve the streets which will include more than 13,000 square meters of resurfacing.
“In addition, the construction of 1,016.5 square meters of concrete sidewalk and 119 linear meters of garrison will be built around the Caste War Museum, providing a safer environment for pedestrians and revitalizing the historic center,” he detailed.
Sarabia May says the investment in road infrastructure will not only improve mobility in Tihosuco, but will also revitalize an important part of the Mayan area and open new opportunities for the growth of the region.
