Four injured after Cancun police, taxi collide

Cancun, Q.R. — An accident between a Cancun police unit and a taxi has left four injured after the two collided, resulting in the police truck slamming into a building.

The collision between a Municipal Police truck and a taxi along avenue Puerto Juárez in Cancun left several injured after the front of the police truck ended up embedded in a wall. The unit hit the wall when trying to avoid colliding with a taxi.

Both vehicles were forced against the property.

The driver of the taxi was injured along with his two passengers, a woman and a minor. In the patrol unit, both policemen suffered multiple injuries and were transferred to hospital.

Members of the Traffic Directorate arrived to determine which of the drivers caused the accident.
