Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — Five national tourists were transferred to hospital after running their vehicle off the highway. On Friday evening, the driver of an old model SUV lost control while on their way to Cancun.
Several ambulances responded to the 6:30 p.m. accident from where all five inside the vehicle were transferred to hospital. Firefighters from Felipe Carrillo Puerto and agents of the National Guard Roads Division also attended the accident scene.
It is not known how the driver lost control and ended up driving the vehicle into the highway brush. Three women and two men were taken to hospital. One of the men was listed as serious.
