Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two cantina type bars have been shut down in Playa del Carmen by police after drugs were found on site.
A report from the Attorney General’s Office says that during a Grupo de Coordinación operation, inspections were made at bars and restaurants by ministerial police in the municipalities of Solidaridad and Tulum after they received reports of banned substances being sold in some establishments.
Of their inspections, two cantina-style bars were closed in Playa del Carmen for the sale of illicit substances after police found traces of narcotics. The Attorney General also reports the arrest of two people found in possession of 12 doses of cocaine.
