Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — The State Attorney General’s Office reports that in compliance with an arrest warrant, Investigative Police arrested Pedro “P” for his probable participation in a kidnapping that took place earlier this year.
In a statement, the state agency said that “based on the events that occurred on February 26 of this year, in a neighborhood in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, the defendant, along with three people on board a vehicle, after threatening the victim with a firearm, took him in a unit to an unknown direction.”
Relatives of the kidnapped person filed a complaint and a subsequent investigation allowed for the identification of the now-deteained. Pedro “P” was taken into custody from a public highway in the municipality of Tulum.
Pedro “P” has since been transferred to the Cereso prison in Chetumal where he awaits his preliminary hearing.
