Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The Environment Secretariat of Solidaridad responded to a citizen report of an injured fox Tuesday night. Authorities located the animal resting inside an old tire after a citizen made the 9-1-1 report.
Environmental personnel removed the animal and transferred it to a veterinary for care after showing signs of fatigue.
The Secretaría de Medio Ambiente Sustentable y Cambio Climático y Zofemat commented on the animal’s rescue. “We responded to a wildlife report about an injured fox.
“In coordination with PROFEPA, the fox was referred to specialists for veterinary clinical care. Your report can save lives! Don’t hesitate to call 911 in case of a wildlife emergency.”
