Akumal, Q.R. — A man died and a woman was injured after their car was hit by another vehicle. The two car crash happened Friday morning along the federal 307 highway outside Akumal.
According to reports, a Mazda and Volkswagen were involved. The driver of the Volkswagen, Benjamin “C”, was killed. The woman in the car, Paula “C”, was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
The driver of the Mazda fled the scene on foot, leaving behind his vehicle and a piece of identification, a Mexican voter I.D. card in the name of Santos “D”. Details on how the accident happened are not clear. Police are currently looking for Santos “D”.
