Akumal, Q.R. — The driver of a compact car was killed overnight after rolling then slamming into a concrete wall. Emergency personnel from Tulum were sent to the Akumal scene shortly after midnight.
There, they found a rolled gray Chevy car resting against the base of a concrete overpass. Circumstances surrounding the exact cause of the accident are not known.
The driver of the car was male. He is believed to have been the only occupant of the vehicle. Police have not released details on his identity.
