Cozumel, Q.R. — A distracted driver left three with minor injuries on Cozumel after failing to stop at a sign.
The collision occurred Tuesday morning at Colonia 10 de Abril when the driver of a silver SUV failed to stop, hitting an oncoming vehicle.
The mishap occurred at the intersection of 4th street north and 50th where emergency personnel arrived to attend to the injured. All three involved in the two-car collision received only minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
Witnesses to the accident said that the driver of the SUV appeared distracted and failed to stop. He invaded an oncoming lane, which is when he collided with the black jeep.
