Cozumel, Q.R. — A man believed to be a youth, was shot from a moving car Friday night while on 30th Avenue in Cozumel.
The preliminary report indicates that around midnight Friday, armed men attacked a young man and then fled. The victim was treated by paramedics who transferred him to hospital for treatment of two bullet wounds, neither of which are life-threatening.
According to witnesses, the attackers were traveling in a white car, although the brand was not specified.
The site was attended to by elements of the Quintana Roo Police who taped off the area for an investigation. Elements of the navy were also on site to provide surveillance while authorities completed their work.
