Cozumel, Q.R. — Elements of the National Guard and Ministerial Police arrested two subjects and seized drugs, guns and a vehicle after an operation in Cozumel.
According to la Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE), authorities arrested the pair from inside a grocery store. The incident took place near the Zona Arqueológica de San Gervasio where officials were successful in seizing two guns, one car and street doses of crack and cocaine.
The Commander of the Ministerial Police, Armando Pérez Pérez, declared that the Yucatan-plated car was reviewed by elements of the National Guard.
The two detainees were transferred to the facilities of the State Attorney General’s Office.
