Cozumel inspectors suspend two financial establishments

Cozumel, Q.R. — – The Department of Civil Protection and Commercial Regulation of the City Council suspended two financial establishments, one for for not respecting current sanitary measures and the other for operating illegally.

The director of Civil Protection Hector Mac Marin, reported that they initially went to the financial company Siempre Creciendo on 30th avenue north as part of a routine inspection. However, during the inspection, officers noted the lack of sanitary measures including the lack of use of antibacterial gel and personal protective equipment such as gloves and mouth masks.

A second surprise inspection to business along 30th Avenue and Miguel Hidalgo Street in the Adolfo López Mateos neighborhood resulted in its suspension since the business was operating without documents.

Mac Marin explained that inspectors from the Verification and Commercial Regulation Department paid a visit to an embroidery and screen printing business that turned out to be a disguise for a financier.

He says both financial companies have had their activities suspended.
